Integrated projects
Nowadays newly build public libraries are increasingly being integrated in larger-scale developments. Apart from the rather self-evident combinations with other cultural services, such as archives or theatres, one can observe a growing and varied number of services or partners, ranging from schools and adult education services, over town halls and health services to shops and supermarkets.
In every case, the public library seems to be the connecting thread. Because of their mission to serve the general public, public libraries are able to connect to a broad range of partners. Because of their approachability, both physically and intellectually, they attract large numbers of citizens, which is a strategic asset in negotiating a core place in any integrated building project.
All the projects that LANDMARK LIBRARIES has been counselling lately are of an integrated nature.
LANDMARK LIBRARIES supports this key position of the public library, guaranteeing that the latter remains the landmark in any mixed project.
